Arc Flash Consulting

We offer professional consultations on topics of Arc flash hazard for managers and workers in the areas of power engineering, electrical maintenance, operation of equipment and buildings, and safety.

We offer consultations in both Slovak and English languages in the following areas:
  • Requirements for the implementation of measures to assure workers‘ safety from Arc flash, in accordance with the standard EN 50110-1.
  • Compatibility and application of different national and international standards, EN 50110-1, IEC 60909, IEEE 1584, NFPA 70E.
  • How to conduct a study to assess the potential risks of Arc Flash for particular conditions and operational service.
  • How to properly interpret the results from the Arc flash hazard assement study (risk, energy, marking, approaching distances, work regulations, operating settings).
  • Selection and proper use of Personal protective equipment (PPE), based on the results of the Arc Flash Risk study - safety, alternative solutions, combinations, quality and costs. Compatibility between different methodologies, approaches and standards. Ability to address and solve ambiguities and contradictions.
  • Technical and operational solutions to actively reduce the risks associated with potential Arc Flash.
